Music Commission Information

Commission a new piece of choral music with no base fee!

 

Here's how it works:

1. You choose the text (public domain or proof of copyright permission)  instrumentation, and voicing (6 parts maximum.) If you don't want to choose a text, indicate that you would like the composer to choose one.

 

*Please give many details concerning your expectation of mood, style, difficulty level, length (up to 6 minutes), etc. and the purpose/setting of its premiere.*

- You will receive an email within 1-3 days confirming the acceptance (or rejection) of the commission request.

- When it's done, you will receive a link to purchase the scores on sheetmusicplus.com. 

​

*Sheetmusicplus requires a minimum purchase of 10 choral scores, but you are expected to purchase the full number you will need.*

            Price per score will be listed as follows:

                  - 2.99 for 3 voices/instruments       (i.e. TTB a cappella; SSA a cappella; SA & piano, etc.)

                  - 3.49 for 4 voices/instruments       (i.e. SATB a cappella; SSA & piano; TTB & piano, etc.)

                  - 3.99 for 5-6 voices/instruments    (i.e. SATB & piano; SSA, piano, & violin; TTBB & conga, etc.)​

 

This includes

 - an mp3 recorded by real voices and realistic virtual instruments

​- piano mp3s of the individual parts for practice​

​

- AI will not be used in any part of the creative process.

​

- Commissions are first-come first-served. Typical wait time is 2-6 weeks. 

​

 - A commission request may be rejected if it is deemed distasteful, overwhelming, or uninteresting.
